  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk Adds sweetness and creaminess.

  • 3-4 drops blue gel food coloring Gives the ice cream its iconic color.

Cookies

  • 2 1 oz packages mini snack size Oreos Adds delightful crunch.
  • 2 1 oz packages mini snack size Chips Ahoy Provides a sweet, chewy counterpart.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients in one location.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat cold heavy cream until thick and fluffy, forming stiff peaks (3-5 minutes).
  • Carefully pour in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, mixing gently.
  • Fold in blue gel food coloring gently for an even color.
  • Choose a freezer-safe container, such as a loaf pan or airtight storage container.

Layering

  • Spoon half of the mixture into the prepared container, smoothing it evenly.
  • Crush one package of Oreos and half of the Chips Ahoy cookies. Sprinkle over the ice cream layer and press down gently.
  • Add the remaining ice cream mixture on top, spreading it evenly.
  • Finish with the rest of the crushed cookies on top.

Freezing

  • Cover the container securely and freeze for 5-6 hours or overnight.

Serving

  • Allow the ice cream to sit on the counter for 5-10 minutes before serving for easier scooping.
