For the whipped cream

For the pancakes

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter Melted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk in a bowl until creamy and smooth. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, combine heavy whipping cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until soft peaks form and add green food coloring if desired. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • In a separate bowl, beat together the egg, buttermilk, granulated sugar, melted butter, and pure vanilla extract, adding green food coloring until desired shade is achieved.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy.
  • Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.

Cooking

  • Pour ¼ cup of batter onto the griddle. Cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until cooked through.

Assembly

  • Stack the pancakes on a plate, spreading cream cheese icing between layers and topping with whipped cream.
  • Decorate with small red heart candies or sprinkles.
