Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye recommended)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and ensure you have everything you need at arm’s length.
  • Mince the garlic, chop the herbs, and season the steak generously with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Cooking

  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions.
  • While the tortellini is cooking, heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the seasoned steak. Cook for about 5-7 minutes per side.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board.
  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium, add the unsalted butter, and let it melt. Then add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add the drained tortellini to the skillet, ensuring it gets well coated in the buttery garlic sauce.
  • Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips.
  • Plate a portion of the buttery tortellini on a plate, topped with slices of steak and additional sauce from the skillet.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and chives.
