Ingredients
  

For the Dough and Filling

  • 1 can 8 oz refrigerated crescent dough Ensure the dough stays cold.
  • 1 cup lump crab meat, drained and picked for shells Use fresh lump crab for best results.
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Let cream cheese sit at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise Can be substituted with Greek yogurt.
  • ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to experiment with different cheeses.
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard Adds a tangy flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce Enhances the flavor profile.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped Plus extra for garnish.
  • 1 beaten egg For egg wash to achieve a golden color.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust seasoning according to preference.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients to ensure smooth preparation.
  • Drain the crab meat and pick it for any shells. Soften your cream cheese to make mixing easier and chop your fresh parsley.

Cooking the Filling

  • In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the lump crab meat, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped parsley into the mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assembling the Bites

  • Open the can of crescent dough and unroll it. Separate the dough into individual triangles.
  • For each triangle, place about one tablespoon of the crab mixture near the wide end.
  • Starting from the wide end, carefully roll the triangle tightly towards the point.

Baking

  • Place the rolled crescent bites on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  • Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a glossy finish.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serving

  • Allow the bites to cool for a few minutes. Garnish with additional parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven to regain crispness. Consider experimenting with different fillings or substitutions to customize your bites.
