  • 1 pound fresh green beans Trimmed and rinsed
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped Can substitute with turkey or plant-based bacon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Avoid if garlic sensitive; substitute with garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust seasoning as preferred

Preparation

  • Trim the ends of the fresh green beans and rinse them under cool water. Set aside to dry.

Cooking the bacon

  • In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes.

Draining the Bacon

  • Remove the crispy bacon and drain on paper towels, retaining a small amount of drippings in the skillet.

Sautéing garlic

  • Add olive oil and minced garlic to the skillet to sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Cooking the green beans

  • Add the trimmed green beans and cook for 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.

Final seasoning

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste, then stir in the reserved bacon.

Serving

  • Transfer the Crack Green Beans to a serving dish and enjoy warm.

Notes
