  • 2 slices bread use sourdough, whole grain, or white
  • 2 slices brie cheese creamy and soft-ripened
  • 2 slices mozzarella cheese fresh, low-moisture recommended
  • 2 tbsp cranberry sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 1 tbsp butter softened, for spreading

Instructions
 

  • Prepare ingredients by slicing the cheeses and ensuring the cranberry sauce is ready.
  • Butter one side of each slice of bread evenly.
  • On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer the brie cheese, then mozzarella.
  • Spread cranberry sauce over the cheese layer generously.
  • Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing out. Press lightly.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sandwich for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the skillet, let rest for 1 minute, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For a twist, add sliced apples, walnuts, or a drizzle of honey. Use gluten-free bread or plant-based cheese for dietary preferences. Avoid high heat to prevent burning before the cheese melts.
