  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can use Monterey Jack or a Mexican cheese blend for variation.
  • ¼ cup sour cream Greek yogurt can be used as a substitute.

Seasonings

  • ½ cup diced jalapenos (fresh or pickled) Adjust quantity for desired spice level.
  • ½ tsp garlic powder Fresh garlic can be used for a stronger flavor.
  • ½ tsp onion powder Can replace with fresh onions, adjust to taste.

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and tools, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  • Fold in shredded cheddar cheese until evenly incorporated.
  • Add diced jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a suitable baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serving

  • Serve warm with tortilla chips, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

This dip can be made ahead of time; mixed ingredients can be stored in the fridge before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
