  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned) Use plain for classic flavor or seasoned for extra taste.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Add for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Add for flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Essential for seasoning.
  • as needed Oil for frying (vegetable or canola) Ensure the oil is hot before frying.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  • Measure out your other ingredients so that everything is ready to go.

Mixing Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until all ingredients are well integrated and uniform.

Forming Poppers

  • Scoop out small portions (about a tablespoon each) and roll them into balls.

Coating

  • Roll each ball in breadcrumbs until fully coated.

Frying

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the coated poppers for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Draining

Notes

Allow them to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. They can be kept in the fridge for 2-3 days or frozen. Reheat in the oven for best results.
