Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough

  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt

Filling

  • ½ cup fruit jam raspberry, strawberry, or apricot

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Cover and chill the dough for about 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.
  • Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Press a thumbprint into the center of each cookie and fill with a small spoonful of jam.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

Different jam flavors can be used to create a colorful variety. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
