Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Hand Mixer or Stand Mixer
  • Cookie Scoop
  • Baking Sheets
  • parchment paper or silicone mat
  • Cooling rack

Ingredients

  • 15.25 ounces white cake mix one box
  • 3 ounces orange gelatin (Jell-O) powdered orange flavor gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest zest of approximately 1 orange
  • 8 tablespoons butter salted, softened to room temperature
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 11 ounces white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 °F (≈175 °C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the white cake mix, orange gelatin powder, and orange zest until well combined.
  • Add the softened butter and eggs to the dry mixture. Use a mixer (hand or stand) to beat until just combined, scraping down sides as needed.
  • Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  • Using a 1½ tablespoon cookie scoop (or equivalent), form dough balls and place on the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
  • Bake cookies for 10–13 minutes or until the edges are set (centers may still look slightly soft).
  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies stay good in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Let them thaw before serving. Avoid overbaking; the centers will firm up as they cool. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
