  • 2 pieces chicken breasts Thawed if frozen
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth Ensure gluten-free if necessary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme Can be substituted with other herbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and ensure the chicken breasts are thawed if previously frozen.
  • Mince the garlic and measure out your heavy cream and chicken broth.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Place the chicken in the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer, deglazing the skillet.
  • Add the heavy cream and thyme, stirring to combine well.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, making sure it is well-coated with the sauce. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes to thicken.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator. Reheat slowly over low heat on the stove.
