Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Pot for Pasta

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 5-6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • ¾ cup half and half or whole milk
  • fresh parsley for garnish
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until onion softens and becomes translucent.
  • Stir in butter until melted. Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook bowtie pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • Add half and half and Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Stir until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
  • Toss cooked pasta into the skillet and mix well to coat in sauce.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a richer sauce, substitute half and half with heavy cream. Add spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra nutrients and flavor. Leftovers taste even better the next day!
