Ingredients
  

Dumpling Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 each)
  • 2 sticks butter Melted, for the sauce and greasing
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Or to taste
  • 1 can 7-Up (12 oz)
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and cored
  • 1.5 cups brown sugar

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Wash, peel, and core the Granny Smith apples.
  • Cut each apple into eight equal slices.
  • Carefully unwrap the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.

Assembly

  • Place a slice of apple on the wider side of each dough triangle and roll tightly.
  • Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with butter.
  • Arrange the rolled dumplings in a single layer in the baking dish.

Making the Sauce

  • In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
  • Pour the sauce over the arranged dumplings.
  • Pour the 7-Up around the dumplings.

Baking

  • Bake for 35-45 minutes until the crescents are golden and the apples are tender.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream or caramel sauce. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
