  • 1 egg This acts as a binder for the breadcrumbs.
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste salt

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients, chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, shredded cheese, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix thoroughly using your hands to ensure an even distribution of flavors.
  • Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls the size of a golf ball.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg to prepare the egg wash for binding the breadcrumbs.
  • Dip each chicken ball into the egg wash, then roll it in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Test the oil by dropping in a small piece of the mixture.
  • Carefully place the chicken balls into the hot oil, frying them in batches for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove the balls and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Allow the chicken cheese balls to cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve hot with dipping sauces like ranch or marinara.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
