  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preparation

  • Start by creating a clean, organized workspace. Gather all your ingredients and tools, including a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil, measuring cups and spoons, and mixing bowls.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cooking

  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese, Panko breadcrumbs, and chopped parsley until combined.
  • In a small dish, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice until blended.
  • Drizzle the garlic butter mixture evenly over each salmon fillet.
  • Firmly press the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture onto each salmon fillet to cover completely.
  • Drizzle a little olive oil over the top of each fillet.
  • Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
  • For an added crunch, switch the oven to broil for the last 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
  • Allow the salmon to rest for a minute before serving with lemon wedges.

Notes

This recipe is versatile; try adding herbs like basil or thyme for more flavor, or use gluten-free breadcrumbs if needed. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
