Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger minced
  • oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Set up bowls for cornstarch, egg, flour, and sesame seeds.
  • Coat chicken pieces in cornstarch, dip in egg, then coat with flour and sesame seeds.
  • Heat oil in a skillet or wok to about 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry chicken in small batches, 5–7 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
  • Mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a bowl to make sauce.
  • Toss fried chicken in sauce until well coated.
  • Serve hot, garnished with extra sesame seeds or green onions.

Notes

Best served immediately for maximum crispiness. Pair with steamed rice, fried rice, or stir-fried veggies. For a vegetarian option, replace chicken with tofu.
