  • 2 smoked sausage links about 14–16 oz (400–450 g), sliced into 1⁄2-inch rounds
  • 3 bell peppers (mixed colors), sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes undrained
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce

Seasonings

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • red pepper flakes (optional) for heat
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Sprinkle the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper evenly over the mixture.
  • Gently stir to combine all ingredients, ensuring the sausage and vegetables are coated in sauce.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours (or HIGH for 3–4 hours), until the peppers and onions are tender and the flavors have melded.
  • Give the mixture a final stir and adjust seasoning as needed before serving.
