Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • cooked rice for serving
  • green onions chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned (5-7 minutes).
  • Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
  • Serve beef mixture over cooked rice. Garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, top with sesame seeds or a fried egg. You can also swap the ground beef for turkey or plant-based meat.
