Ingredients
  

Cake Balls Mixture

  • 2 cups cake crumbs use leftover or freshly baked cake
  • 1 cup frosting store-bought or homemade

Chocolate Coating and Toppings

  • 1 cup chocolate or candy melts dark, milk, or white chocolate

Instructions
 

  • Prepare your ingredients by crumbling the cake into fine crumbs and placing them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the frosting to the cake crumbs and mix until you form a soft, moldable dough.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Freeze the cake balls for 30 minutes to firm them up before dipping.
  • Melt the chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth and creamy.
  • Dip each chilled cake ball into the melted chocolate, coating evenly. Let any excess drip off.
  • Place dipped cake balls back on the parchment paper and top with sprinkles while the coating is still wet.
  • Allow the chocolate to set completely at room temperature or in the fridge before serving.

Notes

You can make these ahead of time and store them in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to a month. Try different cake flavors like pumpkin spice, red velvet, or chocolate mint for variety. Add crushed nuts, coconut flakes, or drizzle extra chocolate for decoration.
