Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce Can use homemade or gluten-free version.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced Fresh is preferable, but powdered can be used.
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced Fresh is preferable, but powdered can be used.
  • 1 cup broccoli florets (optional) Can substitute with other vegetables.
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Prep your workspace and gather all ingredients.
  • Place the chicken in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Mix the teriyaki sauce, garlic, and ginger in a bowl, then pour over the chicken.
  • If using, add broccoli florets on top of the chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • Shred the chicken in the pot with two forks and stir into the sauce.
  • Serve over rice or noodles and garnish with sesame seeds.

Notes

Great for meal prepping and can be customized with different veggies or proteins.
