  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. If you're using cream cheese, ensure it’s adequately softened for easy spreading.
  • Lay out your tortillas or puff pastry on a clean surface.
  • Evenly spread a layer of softened cream cheese over the tortilla or puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Layer the thinly sliced ham over the cream cheese, ensuring even coverage from edge to edge.
  • Distribute the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the ham.
  • Sprinkle some salt, pepper, and chopped herbs over the cheese.
  • Start at one end and gently roll the tortilla or puff pastry as tightly as you can.
  • Use a sharp knife to slice the rolled tortilla into 1-2 inch pinwheels.
  • Place the sliced pinwheels on a platter without crowding them too much.
  • Optional: Warm them slightly in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes or until warmed through.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to a month. Can be served cold or warmed.
