Ingredients
  

Apple Filling

  • 2 cups apples, peeled and diced Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for best flavor.
  • ½ cup brown sugar Can substitute with granulated sugar or coconut sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Nutmeg or apple pie spice can be used as alternatives.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Wrappers

  • 1 package egg roll wrappers Spring roll wrappers can be used as a substitute.
  • Oil for frying oil Enough to cover the bottom of the pan.

Preparation

  • Peel and dice the apples into small cubes.
  • In a large bowl, combine diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  • Lay out the egg roll wrappers on a clean surface and keep a small bowl of water nearby.

Assembly

  • Take about a spoonful of apple mixture and place it in the center of a wrapper.
  • Fold over the filling to create a triangle and moisten the edges with water to seal.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat until ready.
  • Carefully add the sealed egg rolls to the hot oil, frying each side for approximately 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove from the pan and place on paper towels to drain excess oil before serving warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider drizzling with caramel sauce or serving with ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze before frying.
