Ingredients
  

Sorbet Base

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, combine cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Stir to mix.
  • Gradually whisk in water until smooth with no lumps.
  • Heat over medium heat until simmering (about 5–7 minutes), stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  • Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature (about 30 minutes).
  • Pour into an ice cream maker and churn for 20–30 minutes.
  • Transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For deeper flavor, add a shot of espresso or a pinch of sea salt. Let the sorbet sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping for the best texture.
