  • 2 pieces ripe mangoes, peeled and diced Make sure mangoes are perfectly ripe for best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with coconut cream for dairy-free option.
  • ΒΌ cup sugar Can be substituted with maple syrup or agave nectar.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Can be replaced with lemon juice if lime isn't available.

Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients and ensure the mangoes are ripe. Peel and dice the mangoes into smaller chunks for easy blending.
  • In a blender, puree the diced mangoes until smooth. Taste the puree for sweetness and add sugar if necessary.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract with an electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold the mango puree into the whipped cream until well combined without deflating the cream.
  • Add the lime juice and mix gently until incorporated.
  • Spoon the mousse into serving dishes, either in individual cups or a large dish.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy garnished with fresh mint leaves or nuts, if desired.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can freeze for up to a month. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
