  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped Add flavor with finely chopped onions.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Garlic adds a savory element to the meatloaf.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce Enhances the richness of the meat.
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper For seasoning.

Glaze Ingredients

  • ½ cup ketchup Can substitute with barbecue sauce for a different flavor.
  • ¼ cup brown sugar Adds sweetness to the glaze.
  • 1 tablespoon mustard For extra tang.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease a loaf pan.

Mix Meatloaf

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet or loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.

Make and Apply Glaze

  • In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard until smooth.
  • Spread half of the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.

Baking

  • Bake for 45 minutes.
  • Brush the remaining glaze over the meatloaf and return to the oven for another 15-20 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Serving

  • Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve warm with your favorite sides.

Notes

For better results, do not overmix the meatloaf mixture and allow it to rest before slicing. This ensures moist, flavorful slices.
