Preparation

  • Gather and chop the white chocolate into small pieces. Measure out your heavy cream and vanilla extract.

Cooking

  • In a medium saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  • Once it begins to simmer with bubbles forming, remove the pan from the heat.
  • Pour the hot cream over the chopped white chocolate in a separate bowl and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  • After 5 minutes, whisk the mixture until smooth and shiny. Add the vanilla extract and combine.
  • Pour the ganache into a clean bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
  • Once chilled, whip the ganache with a hand mixer until light and fluffy, about 2-5 minutes.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to a month. Reheat gently if needed.
