Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and ground nutmeg to the cream cheese, mixing well until fully incorporated.
  • Gradually add the eggnog to the mixture, stirring slowly to avoid splashes until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the eggnog mixture to maintain the airy texture.
  • Layer crushed cookies at the bottom of prepared serving cups.
  • Spoon the eggnog mousse over the cookie layer, filling the cups generously.
  • Top each cup with extra whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
  • Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours.

Notes

Best enjoyed within 2-3 days, but can be stored for up to five days. Can be frozen for about a month.
