Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Chop the vegetables and cut the beef into bite-sized cubes.

Cooking the Base

  • In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the beef cubes to the pot, allowing them to brown evenly on all sides for 5–7 minutes.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant, about 3 minutes.

Adding Vegetables

  • Stir in the diced carrots, potatoes, and chopped bell pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Incorporating Tomatoes and Spices

  • Stir in the can of diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Add cumin, paprika, and coriander, and season with salt and pepper.

Final Cooking

  • Pour in beef broth and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and allow to simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • Check occasionally, give it a gentle stir to prevent sticking.

Serving

  • Taste the goulash and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot in bowls, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For better flavor, let the goulash rest for 10 minutes before serving.
