Preparation

  • Start by brewing a fresh shot of espresso and allowing it to cool slightly.
  • Collect all your necessary tools, including a cocktail shaker, jigger, and strainer.

Mixing

  • In your cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, freshly brewed espresso, coffee liqueur, and simple syrup (if using).
  • Fill the shaker with ice.
  • Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.

Serving

  • Carefully strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with a few coffee beans on top.
  • Serve immediately for the best flavor and presentation.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but the mixture can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake again before serving.
