Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add salt, vanilla extract, and eggs. Beat until well combined.
- Mix in cinnamon and nutmeg for that classic Thanksgiving flavor.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place them on prepared cookie sheets, spacing 2 inches apart. Flatten gently.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are soft.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
