Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Measure all ingredients accurately, ensuring the butter is softened.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mixing Dough

  • Cream together the softened butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Add in the vanilla extract and mix until evenly distributed.
  • Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt into the mixture, blending until combined.

Shaping Cookies

  • Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and space them on a lined baking sheet.
  • Use your thumb to create an indentation in the center of each cookie.

Filling and Baking

  • Fill each indentation with a teaspoon of your chosen fruit jam.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Decoration

Notes
