These warm, golden-brown Fried Apple Fritters are crispy on the outside and soft inside, bursting with sweet apple and cinnamon flavor. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a cozy fall treat.
Peel, core, and slice the apples into thin wedges.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 tbsp sugar.
In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk until frothy. Add to dry mixture and stir until just combined.
Dip apple slices into the batter, coating evenly.
Heat oil in a frying pan to medium-high. Fry apple slices 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove fritters with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Dust warm fritters with sugar and cinnamon before serving.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh, but they can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) to regain crispiness.
