Ingredients

For the dip base

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream

For added flavor and texture

  • 1 cup fried pickles, chopped
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup green onions, chopped

Seasonings

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Ensure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing. Chop the fried pickles and green onions so they’re ready to incorporate.

Mixing the Base

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sour cream. Use a mixer or a spatula to blend these two creamy bases until they are smooth and well integrated, taking about 2–3 minutes.

Combine Ingredients

  • Once your base is mixed, add the chopped fried pickles to the bowl. Stir gently to avoid breaking down the pickles too much while ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the dip.
  • Add the shredded cheddar cheese and mix until fully incorporated; this should take an additional minute of stirring.

Season the Dip

  • Now it’s time to add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir thoughtfully until everything is mixed evenly.

Final Adjustments

  • Taste your dip, and feel free to adjust the seasoning to your preference.

Chill and Serve

  • Transfer your dip to a serving dish, cover it with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld together, then serve with chips or veggie sticks.

Notes

This dip can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for 3-5 days. Experiment with various mix-ins like jalapeños or crumbled bacon to create different flavor profiles.
