Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients: butter, powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla, Fruity Pebbles, and food coloring.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer until creamy and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
  • Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Once all sugar is incorporated, add heavy cream and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  • Gently fold in the Fruity Pebbles cereal, being careful not to crush them.
  • Add food coloring if desired and mix to achieve preferred shade.
  • Taste the frosting and adjust sweetness or flavor as needed.
  • Use the frosting immediately for optimal texture on your baked goods.

Notes

Store any leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for up to three months. Thaw overnight and re-whip prior to use.
