  • 2 slices slices of garlic bread
  • 2 slices slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or any preferred cheese)
  • to taste Butter (for cooking) Can be substituted with olive oil or dairy-free alternative.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients on a clean countertop.
  • Slice your cheese into even pieces if not using pre-sliced cheese.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Spread butter generously on the outer sides of the garlic bread slices.
  • Place one slice of garlic bread, butter side down, in the skillet.
  • Lay the cheese slices on top of the garlic bread.
  • Top with the second slice of garlic bread, butter side up.
  • Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Carefully flip the sandwich to cook the other side until it's golden brown and the cheese has melted, about another 3-4 minutes.
  • Once both sides are golden brown, remove from skillet and let it rest for a minute before slicing in half.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat using a skillet over low heat or in a toaster oven for best results.
