Ingredients
  

Dough and Fillings

  • 1 package pizza dough Store-bought
  • 1 lb ground beef Can substitute with turkey or plant-based meat
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American) Feel free to experiment with different cheeses
  • 2 tbsp garlic butter Adds flavor and helps browning
  • ¼ cup chopped onions
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • to taste pickles (optional)
  • to taste ketchup (optional)
  • to taste mustard (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cooking the Base

  • In a large skillet, heat a splash of oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and chopped onions, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned (5-7 minutes).

Preparing the Dough

  • Sprinkle flour on a clean countertop and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Cut the dough into rectangular shapes (approximately 4 inches by 6 inches).

Filling and Rolling

  • Place a spoonful of cooked beef mixture in each dough rectangle, top with shredded cheese and optional pickles.
  • Roll up each rectangle and pinch edges to seal. Place seam side down on a baking sheet.

Baking

  • Brush melted garlic butter over each rollup and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Serving

  • Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with ketchup and mustard on the side.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container. Reheat in the oven for best results. Can freeze for up to three months.
