Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz noodles lo mein, spaghetti, or rice noodles
  • 1 lb steak sirloin or flank steak, sliced thinly
  • 4 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Optional Additions

  • bell peppers or broccoli optional, chopped
  • fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients. Chop garlic and vegetables, and slice the steak thinly for even cooking.
  • Cook noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside without rinsing.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until slightly bubbling.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant, avoiding burning.
  • Season steak with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 3–5 minutes, flipping once until browned but tender.
  • Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss with the steak and garlic butter sauce until evenly coated.
  • Add optional vegetables and cook for another 2–3 minutes until tender yet vibrant.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or pepper if needed.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate steak with a dash of soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce before cooking. Add chili flakes for a spicy kick or a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness. This recipe also works well with chicken, shrimp, or tofu as alternatives to steak.
