Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey/chicken
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • ¼ cup shredded carrot optional
  • ¼ cup chopped bell pepper or spinach optional

Dough & Topping

  • 2 pie crusts defrosted but unbaked
  • cup shredded Mexican cheese
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • salsa for dipping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add taco seasoning, shredded carrot, and bell pepper/spinach if using. Cook 5–6 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Roll out pie crusts on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  • Cut ghost shapes using a cookie cutter. Place half of the shapes on the baking sheet.
  • Spoon taco filling and sprinkle cheese onto each base ghost shape, leaving room at the edges.
  • Top with the remaining ghost cutouts. Optionally cut out eyes/mouths for decoration. Seal edges with a fork.
  • Brush with egg wash. Bake 10–14 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Cool briefly before serving. Enjoy with salsa for dipping.

Notes

Customize with ground turkey, chicken, or vegetarian alternatives. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
