Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and preheat your oven according to the gingerbread cake mix instructions.

Mousse Preparation

  • In a separate mixing bowl, pour in the heavy cream and whip it until soft peaks form, approximately 2-3 minutes on high speed.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the whipped cream while continuing to mix, creating a smooth and fluffy mousse.

Assembly

  • In serving cups, create a layer of crumbled gingerbread at the bottom, followed by a layer of the whipped mousse, and sprinkle some toffee bits on top.
  • Repeat the layering process until the cups are filled, ensuring the last layer is mousse.
  • Garnish with crushed gingerbread cookies and additional toffee bits on top for extra flavor and crunch.
