  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced Let come to room temperature for best texture.
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves Look for vibrant, fresh leaves.
  • ¼ cup balsamic glaze Ensure it's gluten-free if needed.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For seasoning and grilling.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season generously.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Halve the cherry tomatoes, slice the fresh mozzarella, and wash the basil leaves.
  • Drizzle the flank steak with olive oil, then generously season it with salt and pepper. Allow it to marinate for about 20 minutes.

Grilling

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Once the grill is hot, place the flank steak on it. Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side until desired doneness is reached.
  • Let the steak rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.

Assembly

  • Slice the steak against the grain. Arrange on a serving platter and top with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella slices, and basil leaves.
  • Drizzle the balsamic glaze generously over the top.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the steak in balsamic vinegar for an hour before grilling. Consider adding toasted pine nuts for crunch.
