  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced Adds a zesty flavor.
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Tamari can be used for a gluten-free option.
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil For aroma and taste.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Season according to preference.

For Wrapping

  • 1 head lettuce Butter or iceberg lettuce works best for wraps.

Preparation

  • Prep your workspace and gather all your ingredients.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Cooking

  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • Incorporate the diced bell peppers, grated carrots, and sliced green onions. Cook for about 5 minutes until tender.
  • Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, mixing well to coat the beef and vegetables.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assembly and Serving

  • Remove skillet from heat. Spoon the beef mixture into the center of a lettuce leaf.
  • Serve immediately with lime wedges and your favorite hot sauce.
