A spooky and delicious twist on classic meatloaf, shaped like a brain and topped with ‘bloody’ ketchup. Perfect for Halloween parties, family dinners, or potlucks that need a fun and festive centerpiece.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, onion, and garlic. Mix gently until combined.
Add breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
Shape the mixture into a brain-like form on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Remove from oven and spread ketchup generously over the top to create a ‘bloody’ effect.
Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve on a festive platter.
Notes
For a leaner version, substitute ground turkey or chicken. To make gluten-free, use gluten-free breadcrumbs. Plant-based meat alternatives also work well for a vegetarian option.
