Ingredients
  

Cake Batter

  • 1 box Devil’s Food Cake Mix
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs

Frosting & Decorations

  • 1 cup orange frosting store-bought or homemade
  • sprinkles (Halloween themed) for decorating
  • candy corn or other fun toppings optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all ingredients and prepare baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Devil’s Food Cake Mix, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the lined baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the whoopie pies are set and spring back to the touch.
  • Let the cakes cool on the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, spread orange frosting on the flat side of one cake, then sandwich with another.
  • Decorate with Halloween-themed sprinkles, candy corn, or other fun toppings as desired.
  • Serve and enjoy! Store in an airtight container; they stay fresh at room temperature for a few days or refrigerate for longer storage.

Notes

You can substitute frosting flavors (e.g. cream cheese or vanilla), use gluten-free cake mix, or adjust decorations to your theme. Be careful not to overbake so they stay soft and moist.
