  • 2 pieces ripe avocados Ensure they are ripe for a creamy texture.
  • ½ cup cacao powder Provides a rich chocolate flavor.
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey Maple syrup is vegan-friendly.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavors.
  • Cacao nibs or shredded coconut (for rolling) Optional toppings.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and ensure your avocados are ripe.
  • Slice the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into your food processor.

Mixing

  • In the food processor, add the cacao powder, maple syrup (or honey), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  • Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed (about 2–3 minutes).

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the mixture and add more sweetener if desired, then blend again briefly.

Portioning

  • Use a spoon or cookie scoop to portion out small balls of the mixture, about 1 inch in diameter.

Rolling and Chilling

  • Roll each truffle in cacao nibs or shredded coconut if desired.
  • Place the truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Serving

  • Once chilled, serve the truffles as a sweet treat, snack, or dessert.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Can be frozen for longer storage.
