  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

  • 1 tablespoon peppermint extract Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon green food coloring Optional, for color.
  • Sea salt for garnish Optional, enhances flavor.

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients including chocolate chips, peppermint extract, coconut oil, and optional items.

Cooking the Base

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring until melted and smooth.
  • Pour half of the melted chocolate onto a prepared baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread into an even layer and chill for 10-15 minutes.

Preparing the Peppermint Layer

  • Combine the white chocolate chips, peppermint extract, and food coloring in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat until melted, stirring regularly.
  • Pour over the chilled semi-sweet chocolate layer and spread evenly.

Final Layering and Chilling

  • Pour the remaining melted semi-sweet chocolate over the peppermint layer and spread evenly.
  • If desired, sprinkle sea salt on top, then chill for an additional 30 minutes or until fully set.

Serving

  • Once set, lift the chocolates from the baking sheet using the parchment paper and cut them into squares or rectangles.

Notes
