Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup base for the sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Measure all ingredients and have them ready before cooking.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir well.
  • Add smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly combined.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat, taste, and adjust seasoning if needed. Let it cool slightly before serving or storing.
  • Store the sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add 1–2 tablespoons of hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper. You can also use honey instead of brown sugar for a different sweetness.
