Ingredients

For the candy base

  • 1 cup pecans, toasted and coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup caramel candy, unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream Can substitute with coconut cream for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips Dairy-free chocolate chips can be used for a vegan option.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Measure out the pecans, caramel candy, heavy cream, and milk chocolate chips.

Toasting Pecans

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the pecans evenly on a baking sheet and toast them for 8-10 minutes until fragrant and golden brown.

Melting Caramel

  • In a saucepan over low heat, combine the caramel candies and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Once melted, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly for about 5 minutes.

Forming Candy Clusters

  • On a parchment-lined baking sheet, place clusters of the toasted pecans.
  • Drizzle the caramel generously over each cluster of pecans.

Chocolate Drizzle

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the milk chocolate chips in 30-second bursts, stirring in between until smooth.
  • Drizzle the melted chocolate over the caramel-covered pecan clusters.

Cooling

  • Allow the candies to cool completely at room temperature, or speed up the process by placing them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
