Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients first. Having everything ready will make your tea-making experience smoother.
  • Bring a pot of water to a boil. The amount of water will depend on how many cups of tea you want to serve. For about 4 servings, use 4 cups of water.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the measured rose petals, hibiscus flowers, and chamomile. Gently mix the herbs together so their scents meld slightly.
  • Once the water reaches a rolling boil, remove it from the heat. Pour the boiling water directly over the herbal mixture in a teapot or heatproof container.
  • Allow the tea to steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • After steeping, place a fine-mesh strainer over a cup or another teapot and carefully pour the tea through it.
  • Taste your tea. Add honey or a preferred sweetener to taste. Stir gently until fully dissolved.
  • Pour the Homemade Valentine Tea into cups and serve immediately while warm.
