Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients. Ensure they are at room temperature.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together.
  • Cream together softened butter and white sugar using a mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the milk until the dough comes together.
  • Scoop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  • Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
