Preparation

  • Gather and measure all ingredients.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the chicken breasts.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add cooking oil until shimmering.

Cooking

  • Carefully place the seasoned chicken breasts in the hot skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and keep warm covered with foil.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in soy sauce and honey, stirring well to combine.
  • Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Check for doneness with a meat thermometer; the internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).

Serving

  • Plate the honey garlic chicken breasts, drizzle with extra sauce, and enjoy!

Notes

Consider marinating the chicken in the honey garlic mixture for 30 minutes for more intense flavor. Avoid overcooking to maintain juiciness.
